MAGS 11-14 '26 Update

Our 11–14 swimmers delivered an outstanding weekend of racing—marked by composure,

resilience, and meaningful progression across the board!

Owen Melancon opened the meet with an excellent 50 Backstroke, dropping nearly a full

second before unfortunately being sidelined by Influenza A.

Claire Jolly recorded two outright PRs in the 200 Breaststroke and 200 Freestyle, while

matching her best times in both the 50 and 100 Breaststroke—an excellent display of

consistency and range.

Mathilde Jariett continued her strong development with two significant PRs in the 100 and 200

Breaststroke, dropping .33 in the 100 and an impressive 3.5 seconds in the 200.

Izzy Skalski took on one of the most demanding events in the meet—the 200 Butterfly—and

responded with a drop of over four seconds, a testament to her growing strength and resolve.

And then—

Jackson Stephens delivered a truly exceptional breakout performance.

Across prelims and finals, Jackson posted eleven consecutive personal bests—a rare and

remarkable achievement at any level of the sport.

In the 200 IM, he dropped four seconds to break the LCSC Club Record with a 2:20.16, then

returned in finals to lower it again to 2:18.29, placing 6th.

In the 200 Butterfly, he placed 3rd, dropping nearly five seconds and missing the club record by

just .13.

He then set a new LCSC Club Record in the 100 IM (1:04.02) before lowering it again in finals

to 1:03.57.

In the 100 Butterfly, he posted a 1:02.40 and came within .06 of the 12&U club record—earning

another 5th-place finish.

He added yet another LCSC Club Record in the 50 Butterfly (27.29), and later lowered it again

to 27.07—just 20 minutes after his 400 IM.

In that 400 IM, Jackson dropped over 13 seconds to place 4th, completing a perfect meet of

eleven consecutive personal bests.

These results reflect not only speed, but a level of composure and competitive maturity well

beyond his years.

Jackson accounted for the full LCSC team score of 87 points—an extraordinary contribution.

Great work, Jackson—and to all of our LCSC 11–14 MAGS Championship swimmers.
